Makes on site and non-onsite inspections to ensure compliance with the contractor registration, plumber and electrical licensing, prevailing wage and industrial insurance laws;

Contacts non-complaint contractors and educates on licensing and registration requirements;

Trains new inspectors in enforcement and interpretation of applicable national codes and State laws and regulations;

Investigates complaints from homeowners, union, contractors or public agencies; secures written statements and other material required for documentation and determination of action.

Compiles evidence and prepare necessary documents for legal process and action;

Writes letters, prepares reports, and keeps accurate work records; testifies in court when required, and prepares cases for criminal prosecution;

Performs other work as required.
